University Wushu Games

General Information

The 19th Annual University Wushu Games (UWG) will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 at the University of Maryland, College Park. UWG is a unique opportunity for east coast schools in the area and other collegiate wushu clubs to come together and strengthen the Wushu/Chinese Kung Fu community. This event is open all ages, and it is our hope to continue providing this opportunity for years to come.

The University of Maryland Recreation & Wellness center provides this guide for visiting athletes. It includes maps, directions, contact information, and a listing of local athletic facilites, restaurants, and hospitals.

Registration

Early Registration (ends Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 @ 11:59 PM EDT)
For collegiate competitors, the early registration fee is $50 for the first event.
For non-collegiate competitors, the early registration fee is $75 for the first event.
Each additional event costs $20

Late Registration (ends Saturday, October 11th, 2025 @ 11:59 PM EST)
For collegiate competitors, the late registration fee is $80 for the first event.
For non-collegiate competitors, the late registration fee is $105 for the first event.
Each additional event costs $20.

NEW! 5-Event Cap
All competitors will now only be able to compete in a maximum of 5 events due to timing delays.

NEW! Grand Champion
Advanced competitors who compete in 3 or more events can enter to compete for Grand Champion in their age group.
Entering for Grand Champion costs $20
Grand Champion does not count towards the new 5 event cap for all competitors.

Competition Rules

With the exceptions enumerated in the UWG Rules, the 19th Annual University Wushu Games will comply with the competition rules and judging guidelines established by the 2005 International Wushu Federation (IWuF) rules and bylaws for International Taolu and Nandu events. For all standard open events, USWU rules will be followed. Any violation of the rules can be considered grounds for disqualification. Please download these documents from the links below.

Venue

The University Wushu Games will be held at Ritchie Coliseum.

Parking is free in any unrestricted lots on campus. We recommend parking at lots J2, J1, L located near Ritchie Coliseum on competition day. For more information on parking, please refer to the map below, as well as this Campus Parking Map. Please read all signs at the entrance of each lot before parking. TerpWushu will not claim responsibility for any parking violations or damages to your vehicle while on campus.
